A top NYPD official schooled Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and slammed Columbia Universitys entitled demonstrators after the congresswoman railed against the schools decision to call in cops amid ongoing campus chaos.

Not only did Columbia make the horrific decision to mobilize NYPD on their own students, but the units called in have some of the most violent reputations on the force, Ocasio-Cortez wrote late Wednesday in response to a video of NYPD Counterterrorism officers outside the Morningside Heights campus. 5 Rep. NYPD had promised the city they wouldnt deploy SRG to protests. So why are these counterterror units here? she asked.

But NYPD Chief of Patrol John Chell was having none of the left-wing Democrat’s critique, and wrote in a reply that, “Columbia decided to hold its students accountable to the laws of the school.”

“[The protesters] are seeing the consequences of their actions, he wrote on X early Thursday.

Something these kids were most likely never taught. Good SAT scores and self-entitlement do not supersede the law, Chell said of the student protesters, who have now occupied a lawn on campus with a Gaza Solidarity Encampment for over a week.

Truly amazing! Columbia decided to hold its students accountable to the laws of the school. They are seeing the consequences of their actions. Something these kids were most likely never taught. Chell also noted that he was with the police when they arrested 108 protesters at Columbia last week.

These units removed students with great care and professionalism, not a single incident was reported, he shot off. The only incidents that day on campus were the student’s hateful anti-Semitic speech and vile language towards our cops.” 5 NYPD arrested at 108 protesters at Columbia University last Thursday. I am sure you agree any hateful speech is unacceptable,” he continued. “You should rethink your comments to a simple thank you to the NYPD and hate has no place in our society.

Maybe you should walk around Columbia and NYU and listen to their remarks of pure hatred. I will ensure those ‘units’ will protect you as they do for all NYers 24/7/365.

Columbias decision to mobilize the NYPD against its own students and other protesters has been a source of contention, as some Jewish students say they still dont feel safe enough on the campus amid ongoing anti-Israel demonstrations.

New York GOP Reps. Mike Lawlker and Anthony DEsposito visited the campus on Wednesday, where they tore into the protesters.

If you are a protester on this campus, and you are proud that youve been endorsed by Hamas, you are part of the problem, DEsposito said.

When you cheer on the fact that you enjoy Hamas and Hezbollah, you are yourself part of the problem, he added. The Columbia protests started as a tent encampment last Wednesday, when groups of students vowed to remain on a main lawn until the university agreed to divest from Israel.

The protesters have now missed several deadlines to evacuate the space including  a midnight Wednesday deadline that under-pressure officials extended by 48 hours.

The NYPD also arrested more than 100 demonstrators at at NYU on Monday night  and shocking video showed Assistant Chief James McCarthy and his officers surrounded as they went into a building after cuffing one of the protesters.

Fk you! Fk you, pigs, the crowd could be heard shouting at police as they descended on the scene.
