David Palmer is squarely in the nexus of blockchain and IoT as the chief product officer of Vodafones Digital Asset Broker (DAB). Working with the largest pan-European and African telecommunications company gives Palmer the opportunity to reach a global audience with Web3 technology, through the DAB platform and through consumer handsets and connected devices.

Launched in early 2022, Vodafones DAB platform is a blockchain-based solution that helps businesses manage digital assets, including contracts, licenses, and intellectual property, using a single platform. The expanding use cases for blockchain technology will be among the many topics discussed by industry leaders atBenzinga's Future of Digital Assets in NYC on Nov. 14, 2023.

Described as an economy of things platform, the DAB is meant to serve transactions for over 140 million connected, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, allowing smart cars, smart appliances, etc. to transact in digitized representations of real-world assets. The DAB site anticipates over 50 billion connected devices by 2025.

When Palmer isnt looking at the boundless potential of IoT devices unified into one economy, he delves into the boundless potential of the Metaverse. In June 2023, Vodafone DAB partnered with Infinite Reality (iR) to create a metaverse showroom at London Tech Week.

In a recent LinkedIn post regarding the Metaverse Phone, Palmer said: I see a future world of wallets, linked to decentralized digital identities, linked to an economy of tokens and CBDCs, financed by DeFi and CeFi, with the mobile phone acting as the new middleware joining and connecting these worlds up.

Palmer was named among the Top 30 Metaverse Leaders to Follow on LinkedIn by Metaverse Insider. In response, he said,I am really honored to be a part of this list. The metaverse will reset the boundaries of experience and possibilities.
