In late November 2022, Keith Grossman announced on Twitter (aka X) that he was leaving the team atTime magazine to become the president ofMoonPay, a Web3 company that provides easy ways for people to buy crypto using fiat.
In the multi-tweet post, Grossman explained that he appreciated the opportunities he had working at TIME, but the allure of Web3 technology called him to make the change.
Grossman said in a tweet, In 2020, I noticed a trend too big to ignore – web3 – which provided an evolution from online rentership to ownership. I knew I needed to move from the comforts of being an observer to that of participant in this adoption.
Grossman is well known for his track record of growing media organizations. He has served in leadership roles with organizations such as Bloomberg, Wired (owned by Conde Nast), Ars Technica, Engine, and Time magazine. Grossman led multiple efforts, including Bloombergs 24×7 video news service QuickTake and Time magazines TIMEPieces NFT drop. At Time magazine, Grossmans fascination with Web3 grew, and he generated more than $10 million in revenue through NFTs.

In addition to expanding Times NFT ventures to include featured magazines, historical moments, and artwork, Grossman helped create the IP division of Time Studios to feature other NFT artists. He also launched Times B2B business group that supports the transition to Web3.
Grossman advised National Geographic in the launch of their 1888 NFT collection to reflect the publications 135-year history. He also helped to raise $200,000 for the non-profit New York Cares through an AI-generated NFT sale,
